Ladies and germs, there are THREE DAYS until ~
RegentShaw's subscription and mine are up. Feh. Oh wellz. I'll live. I can wait until I'm active again and what not. So I'm going to apologize right now, because I will probably never log in except to clean out my messages. That means I'm going to log in and mass-delete without looking at
anything. Yeah.
However, if there's some kind soul out there willing to donate a sub, donate to Regent. She needs a sub more than I do.

Yes, two "News" sections. Because I can. Anyway, y'all know how tasty Girl Scout cookies are, right? Imagine not being able to buy any. Well, there are some troupes boycotting cookie sales this year because the Girl Scouts of America is allowing transgender children (male-to-female) into the organization, calling these little girls and the organization "dishonest," when the GSUSA clearly states their acceptance of GLBTQ children as members. Our very own *
twinfools, who is an internet and cosplay sensation (and a hero to many, including myself), states his opinion in
his latest journal entry. Tumblr, Twitter, and YouTube have
erupted with commentary, mainly from the people supporting these little girls and pledging to "BUY
ALL THE COOKIES!"
I, personally, think the girls boycotting cookie sales should have their memberships revoked, and I share in Twins' opinion that their parents should lose custody of their children. Teaching hatred like that and attempting to spread it while
belonging to an organization that seeks to teach girls about harmony and acceptance is appalling and deplorable.
To all those people out there who would support the anti-GLBTQ attitude, I used to be a Girl Scout. I had fun. I loved it. No matter what, because the GSUSA has done so much to promote equality and acceptance, I will support them. As such, I too pledge to "BUY
ALL THE COOKIES!" and encourage everyone to do the same. Support these little girls, and support the organization. Put these phobic little bitches in their place and show them what the wrath of the internet can do.

After an unseasonably warm and rainy November and December, January was looking to continue the trend. Until last night. You know something's up when it's about 44F when Regent leaves for work, and within two hours the temperature plummets by 20 degrees. I'm dead serious. I ducked outside just to see if any snow was coming down, because *GASP!* I pay attention to the weather reports (and the wind was howling outside). No snow, but holy shit, it was freezing. When I took the trash out an hour later, the wind was blowing even harder, snow was flying around, and it was even colder. Each snowflake hitting my face felt like a frozen needle. It was terrible.
The weather has persisted into today. The wind's not as strong as it was, but the snow's still coming down. I haven't gone outside yet today to see how much accumulation we have so far. I'll duck out there before long to check it out. I'm definitely NOT looking forward to going out tomorrow, because the temperatures are supposed to drop
again. Oi. Good thing I wear plenty of layers!
Ohayocon's a huge maybe. I'll keep you posted via Twitter. In case you dunno what my Twitter handle is, check out the widget a little ways down on my page. I also started a new YouTube account (same handle as my Twitter) that I will hopefully maintain better than I did with my old one (old one's still up, I just won't be updating it).
Lastly, I gots a new toy. I've had it for a week. It's a Samsung Stratosphere. A follower on Tumblr asked me to do a review, so I did. You can read my review
here if you're interested. Yes, it's a Droid. Yes, I downloaded the dA app* (it's free). Yes, this thing is fun as hell. Yes, I absolutely freaking LOVE IT. Actually, you might want to follow me on Twitter, Tumblr, and possibly subscribe to my YouTube channel, because if Ohayocon happens, I'll be posting stuff to those accounts before I even DARE mess with dA because I have the Twitter, Tumblr, and YouTube apps and it's easier to mess with stuff on those than it is to mess with the dA app. Okay? Okay.
*So about the dA app...it's fun, it's handy, but in all honesty, it's a complete waste unless you have a tablet. If anyone from the staff actually reads this, I'm sorry, but that's my opinion. dA doesn't work on phones.Northern Hemisphere folks, I hope you're staying warm and enjoying the snow if it paid you a visit. Laters!
